FAQ

How much does a website cost?

The cost of a website will be dependent on the particular features your company website requires. However as a guide pricing can be found by clicking here.

How long does it take to design a website for my business?

It varies from website to website based on the requirement. In the initial consultation, we will provide you the timeline estimates for your project.

If you have the content for your site written before the design process begins, it will help in completing the project quickly. Content should be in electronic format. Not having your copy completed before the design process can significantly delay the completion of your website.

Do you write my web site text for me?

Nobody knows your business, your products and your clients the way you do, so preparing the body text is something that you will need to do. If needed you can hire a copy writer to help you with this. We will help with advice on writing web and Google-friendly copy.

What is a Content Management System?

A CMS, or Content Management System, is system by which a website can be updated and edited. There are many different types of CMS available, each with their own advantages (and disadvantages). We generally use WordPress for most standard sites with dynamic content. We use Opencart for developing our eCommerce sites but are also experienced with Magento.

How / when do I pay for my website?

After we’ve met to discuss your requirements and design, we generally request a 40% deposit if you decide to proceed. The balance of payment is then due before the website goes live. Payment accepted by Bank transfer, cheque or cash.

What makes a web site good?

A good website needs 2 things: Great design and Quality content. We always focus on the individual needs of each client to build a unique solution. The following are the basics of every good website.

  • Clear attractive design that ties in with the business’s brand and identity.
  • Useful and interesting information that your customers will be interested in and appreciate.
  • Search Engine friendly content and construction.
  • Simple, clear navigation and structure so your customers can easily find their way around and get to what they are looking for.
  • A good website needs to be able to be viewed in whatever browser or service the customer is using, so cross-browser and platform compatibility together with accessibility features for the disabled are a must.
